Chaweng offers a large choice of sea view villas, some with incredible panoramic vistas and more modest villas lower down on the hillside with less dramatic views. The main draw for those looking to buy a property in Chaweng is the easy access to Chaweng beach, the nightlife and tourist center of the island.Â
The main tourist area is a good 10 minute drive from most Chaweng villas and most properties in the area are holiday rental properties hoping to take advantage of the proximity to nightlife from prospective renters. There are no beach villas for sale on the main Chaweng beach strip as all the real estate is built on by hotels and resorts though there are some options on smaller local beaches to the north and south. Generally access to the hillside and hilltop villas in Chaweng is similar to Bophut with mostly low to moderately steep roads however there are some areas of Chaweng with very steep access roads similar to Chaweng Noi. Surrounding popular tourist areas Bophut, Lamai, Cheong Mon are all within a 10-15 minute drive making it a great central location.
